A sensitization program on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) was conducted for adolescent young girls in Cameroon to address challenges related to menstrual hygiene.

The program aimed to

  1. Raise awareness about proper menstrual hygiene.
  2. Educate on biological aspects of menstruation.
  3. Provide guidance on hygiene practices.
  4. Break myths and cultural stigmas.
  5. Create a supportive environment for discussions.

Positive outcomes include:

  • Improved knowledge of MHM.
  • Willingness to adopt better hygiene practices.
  • Reduced stigma around menstruation.
  • Increased confidence in discussing menstrual issues.

The MHM sensitization program successfully increased awareness and promoted better menstrual hygiene practices among adolescent young girls in Cameroon. Continued collaboration with local organizations is recommended for sustained impact.
